Aniwell is a registered NPO (082-561) which started its work in May 2009. Our primary focus is the sterilization of companion animals from townships and informal settlements in the Northern areas of Cape Town.  

We started our work in Goliath Estate, an informal settlement, and over the past six years we have helped hundreds of animals (and animal owners) in Goliath Estate as well as Scottsville, Bloekombos, Eerste Rivier and even Grabouw through education, sterilization, feeding, assistance with veterinary care,  rescue and re-homing, behavioural advice and, sadly, euthanasia.  

We don't have a physical shelter, but keep our rescued animals in foster homes. We are a group of volunteers, all with full time jobs, helping animals in our spare time.
